Carly and Tre had a picturesque wedding filled with southern charm, bohemian playfulness, and lots of love. The Cotton Dock at Boone Hall was the perfect backdrop for their simple ceremony. Photos by Richard Israel.
What do you get when you cross a classic downtown locale with one artsy Calfornia couple? An effortlessly cool and sophisticated wedding with touches of West and East coasts! The Thomas Bennett House showed its true colors as the ideal venue for this bride and groom with its enchanting gardens and southern charm. Guests were seated at antique church pews as the couple took their vows under an altar awash with garden picked florals. For the reception, we arranged family-style farm table dining under a clear roof tent illuminated by rustic metal chandeliers, multiple strands of market bulbs, and votives galore to satisfy Ana’s love for soft romantic lighting. Pops of bright magentas, graphic menus and signage, and bold striped napkins gave the otherwise refined southern tablescapes an added modern flair.
Congratulations Ana & Aaron!
Another batch of stunning wedding photography goodness from Virgil Bunao! Out at the Island House on John’s Island, Becca wanted to compliment the natural surrounding landscape with sleek yet romantic decor. Vintage chandeliers hung above classic white round tables inside a tent open to the outdoors. Pops of purple and bright red dotted the arrangements and made one stunner of a bouquet! And, the flower girls – simply adorable in ivy halos. The bride and groom made their getaway in true Lowcountry fashion, on a boat of course!
Be sure to check out Virgil’s Facebook for more eye candy and some beautiful portraits.
Congratulations Becca & Jeremy!
Pops of purple and green were the colors of choice for this Georgia Peach bride. Adding modern yet romantic touches, such as a swirl of purple rose petals over the aisle, we helped Ashley pair the historic beauty of Magnolia Plantation with this bold color combo. No detail was left untouched from the wildflower inspired table arrangements in vintage crystal vases to the flower girls adorable preppy purple and green outfits to the scrumptious dessert spread atop our lace adorned farm table. The newlyweds and their guests danced the night away under classic stands of market bulbs, topping off a picture-perfect North meets South celebration.

Romantic tents are a huge trend being used this wedding season to have some seclusion from all the dancing and music. Looks at this inspirational piece that we have been renting out to some of our clients. If this isn’t romantic, I don’t know what is.
